i'm glad that they didn't come out under the name "The Dixie Chicks" because that would have implied that Natalie Maines was out of the group for good. Natalie has stated that she was just taking a break, so here's to hoping that she comes back!!!

Emily and Martie always supported Natalie, but at the same time, they more or less got dragged along by the controversy too. I wonder if this is--at least partly--a chance to find out "what might have been" without the polarization surrounding Ms. Maines.

I'm glad that they are trying something new to see what it's like without Natalie, but she was what made them who they are. People who were fans of all three will listen to the two now, but it's just that- the fans of all three. I hope that in a year or two they bring her back.

I think the "Courtyard Hounds" lol will tank and I almost feel bad for them cause you just know Nat was the star of the Dixie Chicks. For them to leave her behind and for this country to leave her behind for that matter only because she said she's embarrassed that Bush is from her state is so sick to me. Well Bush may have been raised in her state of Texas but he was born in my state of Connecticut and im embarrassed of that too. Come back Nat!! I bet Nat would make it big time solo.

alright for all of you who are wondering what the story with the dixie chicks situation is here it is: the two sisters were itching to get out preforming again and asked natalie if she was ready. natalie said she wanted some more time before she got back into playing so the sisters started this side project basically as a way to still play until natalie is ready to return. they are still technically part of the dixie chicks. I can't wait till all three are together again its been too long!
